The first two cards a player receives are face down, and the third card each player receives is dealt face up. The dealer then deals the cards one at a time, starting with the player to the dealer’s immediate left. Dealingīefore the cards are dealt, each player antes roughly the equivalent of ¼ the small bet (the exact amount will vary depending on the stakes you play).
